Ve.net

The workshop Ve.net, conducted within the PRIN Recycle Italy research program, just finished with the presentation of the projects at Francesco Fabbri Foundation of Pieve di Soligo (Treviso, Italy). Latitude has been involved for one week to explore  the role of water in new life cycles within urban spaces in the central area of the Veneto region, focusing on the Marzenego river basin.

Considering public plots, hydraulic risks and the multifuncionality of agriculture, the workshop developed design strategies that try to confront with the daily practices and planning tools, in the frame of the River Contract currently studied by the Water Board, involving public actors and citizen associations.

Starting from these points, the geographical analysis and the project explorations followed three different perspectives strongly interlinked: the walfare space, the water network, and the agricultural space.
