Latitude (Fabio Vanin) was invited to present some of the work conducted on the Veneto Region at the lecture series on The Horizontal Metropolis at the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the University of Ghent (Belgium), organized by prof. Michiel Dehaene.

The lecture will focus on the two research projects Latitude has recently conducted on the region: Veneto 2100: Living with Water, that was exhibited at the 5th IABR – International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam in 2012 and Reading the Incremental Occupation of Territories, that is still on show at the X Bienal de Arquitectura de São Paulo, Brasil. The relation between water management and urbanization in a crucial moment of persistent economical crisis and growing environmental threats is key to reflect on possible future scenarios and on our design tools.
