RIGA workshop
Latitude is about to start an intensive workshop on themes that are part of two ongoing projects.
The first one regards the development of the research Reading the Incremental Occupation of Territories, presented at X Architecture Biennale of São Paulo, Brasil, and focused on the progressive anthropization and urbanization of three cases study: the high plain of Treviso in Veneto region, and the urban areas of Eldorado do Sul and Caxias do Sul in Brasil. During the workshop Latitude will study in depth the italian case with the aim to reconstructing the meso-scale, that will allow to connect reflections on the large scale with the small scale ones and to better understand the relation between the territorial occupation and the transformations of single elements.
The second project is the one for the Gangaion Eco-museum of the Verona plains, in collaboration with Verona Plains Waterboard and Fondazione Fioroni of Verona. Currently Latitude is working on the one hand on the design project of the museum both in and outdoors and on the other hand on the landscape reading that will provide the exhibition contents.
The workshop will be the chance for the two groups to work side by side but confronting their work. Moreover Latitude has organized a series of evening lectures inviting experts with different backgrounds who will present some reflections on topics related to Latitude’s researches.
