After the many flood events that in the last days affected again, also this year, not only the Veneto but as well other Italian regions such as Tuscany, Latitude was lately interviewed by a local radio and the newspaper Il Gazzettino to talk about the research Veneto 2100: Living with Water and especially to discuss the scenario for the Piave River dry plains.

The flood risk affecting the Piave river is just one of the environmental dysfunctions that threaten a large portion of the dry plains, especially within the province of Treviso. While during summer newspapers give large space to diffused episodes of draught, in this period of the year space is dedicated to flood risk. The article focuses on the proposed scenario highlighting the need of a conscious attitude towards new, sometimes radical but maybe necessary solutions.
