Living with Water in Verona
On Monday the 4th of February, at the Central Civic Library of Verona the exhibition ‘Acqua e Territorio’ will open until the 3rd of March. Latitude exhibits the setting and the research material previously displayed at the 5th IABR – International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam in 2012, with a special focus on the case study of the Verona area.
A special section of the exhibition, that is also promoted by the Chamber of Architects and the Chamber of Engineers of Verona, with the patronage of the Municipality of Verona, is dedicated to Antonio Maria Lorgna, modern hydraulic engineer of the XVIII century who worked in the Veneto region and whose original archive is kept at the Civic Library.
This exhibition starts the third phase of the research Veneto 2100: Living with Water. It is the first event that aims at bringing the proposed scenarios back to the local communities, in order to be constructively discussed and get a fruitful feedback.
The exhibition will then travel to Treviso, Fondazione Benetton Studi e Ricerche.
