Living with Water for the University of Virginia
Latitude is lecturing on the relation between water dysfunctions and the urban environment in the Veneto Region for the Venice Semester Abroad Program of the University of Virginia (USA), which is a new fall option for third and fourth year students in the Architecture Department, Architectural History and Planning. The program, led by prof. Anselmo Canfora – founder of Initiative reCOVER, a program that assists disaster recovery efforts and underserved populations through partnerships with humanitarian, community-based organizations, professional firms and manufacturers- and organized by Maddalena Scimemi (Resident Director, IUAV) with Monica Shenouda (Associate Resident Director) is mainly taking place in Venice at Fondazione Masieri, beautifully designed by Carlo Scarpa.
