Today, 9th of November 2012, the Local Experimental Observatory on the Landscape of Verona’s Plains is officially presented to the population and institutions. The opening falls within one of the four actions proposed by the scientific committee of the observatory (Consorzio di Bonifica Veronese Waterboard, GAL of the Verona Plain, University Iuav of Venice, University of Verona, Fioroni Fondation and Latitude) to trigger the discussion and raise the awareness about the local landscape.

Observing, exploring, educating, disseminating each of them entails a number of activities intended to involve the inhabitants in the process of tightening/reinforcing the local identity. The scientific committee has considered worthwhile to integrate the activities in ad hoc communication project (iknoki with Latitude). The first action carried out is disseminating: literally, to let know that the observatory on the local landscape exists and it is open to welcome requests and proposals. The official opening is the occasion also for presenting the explorations produced last year by the students of the University Iuav of Venice concerning a portion of the landscape.
