Latitude on the Mekong
Latitude is about to leave for the second fieldtrip of the research Floating Urbanism to investigate the settlements built on water in the lower Mekong basin. This trip – that will be conducted from the 12th of March till the 12th of April – is part of the larger research ‘Floating Urbanism’ that Latitude initiated in August 2010 and it is supported by Stimuleringsfonds Architectuur (NL).
The first part of the research studied the morphology of floating settlements along the Amazon River and it was completed in 2011.
Latitude will be conducting fieldwork and meeting the local partners in Cambodia as well as its longstanding relationships in Vietnam.
