Latitude at Iwalewa Haus
Latitude was guest at Iwalewa Haus, laboratory and contemporary art centre for Africa and beyond, linked to the University of Bayreuth, Germany. Iwalewa Haus proposes numerous exhibitions, cultural events, researches and teaching, developing a rich collection and archive and hosting artist residencies, with the aim of focusing especially on the contemporary culture in Africa in cooperation with a wide range of artists and institutions.
Latitude was there in the frame of the research Mobile A2K: Culture and Safety in Africa to better understand the Angolan context, since a large part of the work carried out at Iwalewa Haus concerns lusophone countries. A special thanks to the vice-director Nadine Siegart for sharing her knowledge.
