Handmade Serigraphy

Handmade Serigraphy

Latitude started to experiment with handmade serigraphy on a dedicated poster for the research project CALAMITA/À – Investigations and Researches on the Vajont Territories – curated by Gianpaolo Arena, Marina Caneve and Allegra Martin – for the 5oth anniversary of the Vajont tragedy. The project is conceived as a tool for investigating a territory through the exploration of the changes in progress, generating questions, revealing critical points and attracting interests and awareness on a crucial place such as the Vajont dam and surroundings. Art, sociology, urbanism and photography  and a plurality of visions contribute to the definition of the project through an open, multidisciplinary approach and are aimed at transforming the perception of the territory.

Latitude is developing a series of artifacts, the first of which is a serigraphy-poster , focusing on the cartography and the representations of that territory especially over the last century.
