On September 18, Latitude is going to present some first results of the work it is conducting in the frame of the ongoing research ‘Reducing Boundaries’ IRSES Marie Staff Exchange Project, comparing social and urban conditions from the point of view of urban safety and security.

The University of Unilasalle of Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, has invited Latitude as guest lecturer at the international course “Direito, sociedade e urbanismo” (law, society and urbanism) that focuses on issues of public security and social problems related to safety in cities.

Latitude will explain some reflections about the differences and similarities between the three study cases: Brussels (Belgium), Veneto Region (Italy) and Porto Alegre (Brasil), focusing on the results reached so far.
