Latitude was invited to participate to the International Workshop by invitation on “Memory, Identity and Responsable Tourism on European Waterways” (Battaglia Terme – PD, 12th of October 2012) and to the conference on the same theme (Palazzo Zorzi – UNESCO, Venice, 13th of October 2012) organized by the International Centre Civiltà dell’Acqua with UNESCO Regional Bureau of Science and Culture in Europe, the  Museo Civico della Navigazione Fluviale of Battaglia Terme and the Municipality of Battaglia Terme.

The aim of the event is to create a network of experts, initiatives and institutions that are interested in the promotion and restoration of the fluvial network in Europe as a more sustainable and alternative way for transportation, as well as for cultural and touristic activities.
