Latitude at Precarious Pavilions, Brussels
On October 13, 2018, Latitude (Fabio Vanin, Marco Ranzato) participated to Precarious Pavilions #2 – The New Local, an event organised by 431 and Kaaitheater enquiring what a progressive locality might entail in the light of globalism. In the section Swamp Gathering, Latitude contributed to question how the swamp, the geological base upon which Brussels is built, can operate as a tool of resilience to counteract centralized gentrification and neoliberal city developments. Latitude presented its reflection on the horizontal stewardship of water as controversial figure that compensates the erosion of the swamp landscape operated by urbanization.
